Welcome to my website!
I'm Jay Taylor, author of Point of Aim Point of Impact.

Let me tell you something about myself. I was born and raised in Albuquerque New Mexico. As a young boy I enjoyed hunting and fishing and was active in high school sports, lettering in football, track and wrestling. I joined the Marine Corps on my 18th birthday in 1967. I served a tour in Vietnam as a Marine Corps Scout Sniper where I was awarded the Bronze Star and Navy Commendation Medals. After returning home I struggled with the memories of my actions while in Vietnam. In 1972 I moved to Alaska where I eventually met and married my wife Paulette. We had two boys, Lee and Bobby. In 1987 I and my family left Alaska and relocated to the lower 48. For the next fourteen years, I worked in California, Oregon, New Mexico and Washington, before relocating back to New Mexico in 2001. I worked for Hoffman Construction Company as a Project Superintendent for thirty years. My wife and I now manage our thoroughbred racehorse farm. I am a four term past president of the New Mexico Houndsman Association, and I'm currently on the Board of Directors for the New Mexico Horsebreeders Association. I'm a proud member of the NRA, and I enjoy target shooting with my son Lee and granddaughter Tamra. Also, I am the NM State Representative for the Marine Scout Sniper Association and I'm available for helping returning Scout Snipers and other Vets.
